Mohit, This could quickly turn into another version of the disastrous “People” app. The reason an individual job seeker provides references is to show only his/her “good references”, the recruiter ofcourse have a choice to making sure those references are genuine not some friends of the job seeker. But I do see a way to weed out fake resumes by sticking to preserving a trail of employment but not sure if it’s a prevalent problem for recruitment because may be we should evaluate a person for the job we want them to do not for what they’ve done (or not done), that’s real “trust”!!
